What are some of the limits?

The maximum balance of a single account is $50,000.00

Each payment type has a transaction limit and a daily limit. They are the following:

  • POS (Point of Sale) Transactions – Transaction size is $10,000.00 for a single transaction and $25,000.00 in a day.
  • ATM Withdrawals – The limits for the ATM withdrawals are $750.00 per transaction, and the daily limit is $2,250.00 per day.
  • Card to Card Transfer – The limit for the Card-to-Card transfer is $2,500 per day. Crew has 7 free transactions per month.
  • ShipMoney Wire Service - a crew member can send up to $20,000 per transaction per day from their Shipmoney account to virtually any bank account.
  • MoneyGram – $5,000.00 per transaction.
  • Western Union - $5,000.00 per transaction.

 

Note: ShipMoney applies fraud-prevention controls to both in-store (POS) and online transactions.
 Cards may be temporarily restricted if multiple transactions occur in a short period or if activity is flagged as unusual. As this is driven by dynamic security rules, we do not recommend publishing a fixed number of transactions (e.g. “10 consecutive purchases”), as blocks may occur regardless of a specific count.  If a card is restricted, the crew member can resolve it via the app or by contacting Customer Support.
