Seafarers can request to fund their Shipmoney card by informing the Master during the monthly allotment request or when submitting their Balance of Wages (BOW), stating that they would like the funds to be sent to their ShipMoney account.
Note: For Filipino seafarers, as mandated by DMW, the fixed allotment (80% of basic wage plus fixed or guaranteed overtime) will still be sent to the nominated bank account in the Philippines. All payments in excess of the mandated 80% threshold, including special allotments or Master Payment Order (MPO), will be accommodated and credited to ShipMoney.
