Yes. Seafarer can use your ShipMoney card to shop online. Some online merchants may use a security feature called Verified by VISA, which sends a one-time password via email or text depending on your settings. In this case, Seafarer will need to enter a one-time security code to complete your transaction.
Note: ShipMoney applies fraud-prevention controls to both in-store (POS) and online transactions.
Cards may be temporarily restricted if multiple transactions occur in a short period or if activity is flagged as unusual. As this is driven by dynamic security rules, we do not recommend publishing a fixed number of transactions (e.g. “10 consecutive purchases”), as blocks may occur regardless of a specific count. If a card is restricted, the crew member can resolve it via the app or by contacting Customer Support.
